MONROE, Donald Arthur (1940 - 2014) – surrounded by his loving family at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Sunday, November 30th, 2014 in his 75th year.  Cherished husband of Caroline Monroe of Simcoe.  Loving father and grandfather of Stacey Mayo (Tim) of Simcoe, there children Matthew & William;  and Jennifer Caughill (Damon) of St. Thomas.  Dear brother of the late Beth Rainey (1971), Joanne Palmerton (George), Francis Moore (Don) and Sharon Slusarchuk (Glenn), all of Simcoe.  Don will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and by his close friends Don (Kathy) and Doug (Barb).  Friends are invited to share their memories of Don with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Ron Mullin officiating.  Private interment of ashes:  Greenwood Cemetery, Waterford at a later date.  Those wishing to donate in Don’s memory are asked to consider the Ontario Lung Association Haldimand-Norfolk Branch.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
