SPLINTER, Martin Paul (1931 - 2014) – passed away at his home in Simcoe on Sunday, January 5th, 2014 in his 83rd year.  Beloved husband of Ruth Splinter (nee Jones) of Simcoe.  Cherished father of Paul Splinter (Cindy) of Waterford, their children Graeme, Kurtis & Robert;  Lora Veres (Frank) of Tillsonburg, their children Sara (fiancé Mark Kendrick) & Dan;  Karen Clark (Jamie) of St. George, their children Ashley & Julia.  Martin will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Aat VanderHoek (Wim) & Nel Rogeveen (late Wim), all of Holland.  Predeceased by his parents, the late Maarten & Dirkje Splinter.  Martin was a long time member of Old Windham United Church.  His passion was farming and he was actively involved in the Norfolk County Fair, Norfolk Cattlemen’s Association and Norfolk Farm Safety.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Martin with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Wednesday, January 8th, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  A funeral service will be held from Old Windham United Church, 30 Glendale Cres., Simcoe on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
