KOTCHAN, George David ( April 9, 1924 - April 25, 2012 ) - surrounded by his loving family at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Wednesday, April 25th, 2012 in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Nina (Dickeson) Kotchan – 1993 and the late Marie (Puype) Kotchan – 2011. Loving father of Mercedees Lukings of Waterford. Cherished grandfather and great grandfather of Dr. Jorin Lukings (Jacqueline) of St. Catharines, their children Morgan, Mackenzie & Nathaniel; Holly Lukings of Waterford and Brandon Lukings of Woodstock. Lovingly remembered by his siblings Anna Tonkin of London, Mary Lariviere (late Henry) of St. Catharines & Mike Kotchan (Fran) of B.C. George will be sadly missed by his long time friend Ron Mabee of Simcoe. Predeceased by his sister Zita Cimprich (John). Friends are invited to share their memories of George with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Friday, April 27th, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. George’s funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor David Clarke officiating.
