MARTUL, Walter (May 20, 1920 - October 14, 2010) – passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Thursday, October 14th, 2010 in his 91st year.  Beloved husband of the late Mary Suprun-Martul (nee Kuchocki – 2007).  Loving step-father of Steve Suprun and his wife Lizabeth of Waterford, the late Alex Suprun (1963), Liz Harvey and her husband Tom of Simcoe and Tony Suprun and his wife Cathy of Port Dover.  Cherished grandfather and great grandfather of Sherry Suprun, her children Brooke & Tyler; Susan Suprun, her son Kyle; the late Greg Brine – 2005 (Yvonne), their children Alexandra, Cooper & Mitchell;  Chris Harvey (Connie), their children Bryn, Kennedy, Berkeley & Staige;  Greg Harvey (Cheryl), their children Liam & Landon;  Kim Harris (Paul);  Shawn Suprun (Becky), their children Natalie, Maeve & Ryan;  Aron Suprun (Amy), their daughter Elodie Rose & Sienna; and Jamie Suprun (Rebecca), their children Alexander & Claire.  Walter will be sadly missed by his extended family in Poland.  Walter was a veteran of WWII.  He enlisted in the Polish army and served in the Middle East, and then with the British 8th Army under General Montgomery at Monte Cassino.  Walter was a long time employee of Canvil for more than 27 years.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Walter with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Monday, October 18th, 2010 from 7-9 p.m.  Walter’s funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
