PETRELLA, Robert

At the age of 65, of Simcoe, Ontario, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025, in Simcoe, Ontario. He passed suddenly, but peacefully at home.

Rob was born on January 12, 1960 in Brantford, ON. He was a proud and loving father to his children: Angela Petrella (Quentin Carter), and Michael Petrella. He was predeceased by his father, Americo Petrella.

Rob dedicated 30 years to his career as an IT Technician for the Grand Erie District School Board, where he was known for his positive attitude and ability to make people smile.

Beyond his professional life, Rob was a man of many passions. He loved gardening, working on DIY projects around the house, playing all types of instruments, and listening to his music loudly. He could always be found lending a hand or giving sound life advice to anyone who would stop to listen, as he loved teaching people and helping them with challenges they were facing. He taught his children the value of kindness and curiosity, and always encouraged them to be lifelong learners.

He will be remembered most for kind heart and generosity, great sense of humour, and the plethora of knowledge he held in his head. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Simcoe and District Humane Society in Rob's memory, a cause that was close to his heart.

Rob leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. He will be profoundly missed.
