GATES, Marlene Elaine (nee Caley) – surrounded by her loving family at the Stedman Community Hospice, Brantford on Thursday, June 26th, 2025 in her 81st year.  Beloved wife of John Gates of Delhi.  Loving mother of Terry Rourk (Chuck), Tim Gates (Tina) and Tricia Gates, all of Delhi.  Cherished grandmother of Alexander, Joshua, Taylor, Trinity & Tessa.  Marlene will be lovingly remembered by her sister Linda Newman (Don) of Arkona.  Predeceased by her parents, the late Ivan & Mabel Caley and by brothers Glen & Gary Caley.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Marlene with her family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Tuesday, July 1st, 2025 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.  Marlene’s funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Amber Shurr officiating.  Interment: Evergreen Cemetery, Lynedoch.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Marlene are asked to consider the Stedman Community Hospice, Brantford.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
