SUPRUN, Catherine Laverne “Cathy” (née Sinden) - Surrounded by her loving family at Norview Lodge, Simcoe, on Saturday, April 19th, 2025, in her 78th year.  Beloved wife and best friend of Anthony Suprun of Port Dover.  Cathy was a devoted and endlessly loving wife, mother, and nana.  She will be deeply missed by her children: Shawn (Becky) and their children Natalie, Maeve, and Ryan; Aron (Amy) and their children Elodie and Sienna; and Jamie (Rebecca) and their children Alex and Claire, all of Port Dover.  Cathy’s life was rooted in family.  She spent countless joyful hours at the cottage with her children and grandchildren, building memories that will last a lifetime.  She was always there, whether it was a vacation, a hockey game, dance recital, or graduation, she never missed a special moment.  Her kindness, warmth, and selfless love touched everyone lucky enough to have known her.  Her very best friends became her children, their partners, and as time went on, her seven precious grandchildren.  Cathy touched countless lives during her 19-year career as a beloved French teacher.  Cathy had a song in her heart and a dance in her step.  Her spirit was full of joy, laughter, and compassion.  Her infectious laughter could always be heard on Saturday and Sunday afternoons at the Norfolk Tavern, the Lodge, and the Port Dover Legion.  Even in a walker or wheelchair, she never stopped dancing and singing with her wonderful friends and husband—she never gave up!  Lovingly remembered by her siblings, Nancy Lester (Larry) of Tillsonburg, Ron Sinden (Steph) of Simcoe, and by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Cathy with her family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North, Simcoe, for visitation on Monday, April 21st, 2025, from 1–3 p.m. and 6–8 p.m.  Cremation will follow with a private interment of ashes.  A Celebration of Life will be held at the Port Dover Community Centre, 801 St. George St. on Friday, May 30th, 2025 from 3-8 p.m.  Those wishing to donate in Cathy’s memory are asked to consider the Who Did It Club, Norview Lodge, Alzheimer Society of Haldimand-Norfolk, Port Dover Legion – Branch 158 or the Lighthouse Festival Theatre.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com or by calling (519) 426-0199
