MENDES, Manuel Simoes - passed away at the Dover Cliffs Long Term Care, Port Dover on Monday, December 30th, 2024 in his 97th year.  Beloved husband of late Maria Mendes (nee Jose – 2017).  Loving father of Maria Moore (Gord) and Tony Mendes (Maria), all of Simcoe.  Cherished grandfather & great grandfather of Paula Duarte (Rob Bussey), her sons Abraham (Katelyn), Elijah & Ethan (Sophia);  Claudio Duarte (Becky), children Matthew & Sarah;  Sherri Moore (Robert McCall), children Logan, Liam & Grady;  Robert Moore (Samantha), daughters Grace & Katie;  Alex Mendes (Kim), sons Logan & Connor;  Aimee Bernardo, daughters Aiylah & Tenley.  Lovingly remembered by his sister Miquilina Lopes (late Manuel) and by his brothers Fernando Mendes (late Leonor) and Armenio Mendes (Sylvina), all of Simcoe.  Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews & extended family.  Predeceased by his brother John Mendes.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Manuel with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Thursday, January 2nd, 2025 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Manuel’s funeral service will be held from Emmanuel Bible Church, 24 Churchill Circle, Simcoe on Friday morning at 11:00 a.m.  Interment:  Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Manuel are asked to consider Cystic Fibrosis or the Little People of Ontario.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
