KOWALCHUK, Philomena (nee Luykx) – passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at the Brantford General Hospital on Friday, November 15th, 2024 in her 84th year.  Predeceased by her beloved husband Bill Kowalchuk (2002).  Loving mother of Lisa Terdik (John) of Simcoe, Andrew Kowalchuk (Melissa) of Waterford and Will Kowalchuk (Margie Harris) of Windham Centre.  Cherished grandmother & great grandmother of Jamie, Starsha, and McKenzie, children Aria & Alia.  Philomena will be lovingly remembered by her sister Henny Pierce (Tom) of Simcoe, by her brother Joe Luykx (Margie) of Barrie and by several nieces, nephews & extended family.  A private family graveside service will be held at the Port Dover Cemetery.  A celebration of life will take place at the Waterford Legion on Saturday, January 11th, 2025 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.  The JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe in care of arrangements.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Phil are asked to consider the Cancer Support & Resource Program.  Special thanks to the 7th floor nursing staff at Brantford General Hospital.  Your care & compassion were greatly appreciated by our family.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
