Sunday September 29, 2024
SWIFT, Keith James – formerly of Boston, called home to his Lord & Saviour, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Brantford on Sunday, September 29th, 2024 at the age of 93. Cherished & loving husband of 69+ years to Maxine (nee Reece). Loving father of Kathryn Comer (Eric) of Brantford, Valerie Bartley (Patrick) of Niagara Falls, Sheila Lebel (Dan) of Brantford and Neil Swift (CJ) of Brantford. Awesome grandfather to Sarah (Jamie), Keith (Talia), Aaron (Stephanie), Rebecca (Darryl), Nichole (Kevin), Heidi (Dwayne), Patrick (Rachel), Torey (Rick), Levi (Hannah), Kaylie, Jessie, Travis (Ajar), Skylar (Tristan) and many great grandchildren. Dear brother to Olive Hoskin of Simcoe, Mildred Ciona (late George) of Wilsonville and Miriam Wight (Peter) of Woodstock. Keith was a well respected member of the farming community in Boston, ON. He could fix anything with a welder, pair of pliers, a wire; and many in the community relied on Keith for his ingenious repairs. After retirement Keith put his imagination to work and created many pieces of “art” from items lying around the farm. His wit and humour brought laughter to many. He was a committed lifetime member of Boston Baptist Church and willingly served in many areas. His faith and family were his top priority in life. He has left a legacy of God’s love and his love of Jesus for his family to aspire to. Friends are invited to share their memories of Keith with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Keith’s homegoing service will be held from Boston Baptist Church, 2985 Cockshutt Rd. Waterford on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Steve Woods officiating. Private family interment: Greenwood Cemetery, Waterford. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to donate in memory of Keith are asked to consider Key Bible Clubs or Rural Life Mission.
