PEEVER, J. Claudette (nee Desmarais) – passed away at the Sakura House Hospice, Woodstock on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024 in her 79th year.  Loving mother of Gizella House (Kevin Higgins) of Simcoe, her daughter Melissa (Laura);  Steven Deutsch (Beverley) of P.E.I., children Brittany MacDougall (Matt) & Andrew (Jackie);  and James Deutsch (Liette) of Egansville, sons Brendan & Nicholas.  Cherished great grandmother of Harmony, Lily, Cora, Ruby, Graham & William.  Lovingly remembered by her siblings Jeannine Kowalsky (Ken), Anita Chadwick (late Don) and Marie Scrivener (John), all of Simcoe.  Predeceased by siblings, an infant Gilberte, Rita Lazowick, Jacqueline Ternowski, Pauline Wheaton and Germaine Godlouski.  Sadly missed by nieces, nephews & extended family.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Claudette with her family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Friday, September 6th, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jay Black officiating.  Private interment at a later date.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Claudette are asked to consider the Haldimand-Norfolk Community Hospice or the Cancer Society.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
