Death Notices

BEST, Mary Elizabeth (nee Lindsay) – passed away at AgeCare Glen Oaks, Oakville on Tuesday, August 13th, 2024 in her 95th year.  Cherished wife of the late Ralph Best (2014).  Mary leaves behind her beloved son & grandchildren, the late Paul (2024), his wife Doris of West Kelowna, their son Tristin (fiancée Samantha) and Glen (Laurel) of Oakville, their children Emily & Madison (fiancé Nicholas).  Predeceased by her parents Lyall & Violet Lindsay; her sister Margaret Welsh and by brothers Jerome, Fred, Bill, & Gordon Lindsay.  Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews & extended family.  Special thanks to nieces Susan Cline & Jane White who were always so good to her.  Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.  A private interment will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery, Brantford.  The JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe in care of arrangements.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Mary are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
