Death Notices

LUKACH, Mark Steven - passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, August 1st, 2024 at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe in his 66th year.  Mark was the beloved husband of Danielle (nee Rajecki) for 34 years; loving father of Cory (Kat) and Papa to his cherished grandson Jack.  He was the dear younger brother of Thomas and Felix (Sue).  Predeceased by his parents, the late Andy and Annie Lukach.  Mark was the son-in-law of Helen Hayes and brother-in-law to Jason (Jen) Bodnar and Andrew (Olia) Bodnar.  Mark will be lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and many many friends.  The family would like to express a special thank you to the compassionate staff of the ICU as well as Dr. Bard and Dr. Kumanovskiy for the exceptional, compassionate care that they gave to Mark.  Family and friends are invited to join us for a Memorial service in remembrance of Mark at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott located at 30 Fen Ridge Court, Brantford on Saturday, August 10th, 2024 at 2:00pm.  If desired, those wishing to donate in memory of Mark are asked to consider www.jw.org or the Norfolk General Hospital Foundation.  Donations may be made through the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com
