WHINNERY, Hugh Joseph “Joe” – surrounded by his loving family at the Sakura House Hospice, Woodstock on Monday, July 1st, 2024 in his 91st year.  Beloved husband of the late Beverley Whinnery (nee Ross - 2019).  Loving father & grandfather of Edward of Medicine Hat, his daughter Marie-Josee; and Michele Bellas (Paul) of Langton, children Will (Sofia) & Kayla.  Predeceased by his parents Thomas & Marcella Whinnery; by a sister Helen Timmons and by brothers Thomas, Joseph, Edward & Jim Whinnery.  Joe will be sadly missed by nieces, nephews & extended family.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Joe with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Thursday, July 4th, 2024 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.  A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
