ZAVITZ, Orville Elroy – promoted to loving arms of his Lord & Saviour at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Monday, July 1st, 2024 in his 81st year.  Beloved husband of 45+ years to Janice Zavitz (nee Lamb) of Simcoe.  Loving father & grandfather of Julielynn Miller (Craig) of New Hamburg, their children Taylor & Ryder; and Jill Clancy of Guelph, her children Briella & Raina.  Orville will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Noreen Butler (late Raymond) of Strathroy, Margaret Egan (John) of Petrolia and by sisters-in-law Esther Zavitz of Thedford and Irene Zavitz of Watford.  Predeceased by his granddaughter Carlana Clancy and by brothers Harold, Cecil “Sam” and Grant Zavitz (late Norma).  Orville will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews & extended family.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Orville with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Orville’s funeral service will be held from the SIMCOE GOSPEL CHAPEL, 4152 Hwy #3 East Simcoe on Friday, July 5th, 2024 (Note Date) at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Marty Brown officiating.  Interment:  Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Orville are asked to consider the Simcoe Gospel Chapel or the Canadian Cancer Society.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
