KLOSLER, Michael (1934 – 2024) - Mike passed away peacefully on May 21st, 2024 in his 91st year after a short stay at the Norfolk General Hospital.  Mike had been living independently at home and even recently renewed his driver’s license!  Loving husband of the late Rose (nee Schneider, 1982); dear father of Michael, his wife Barbara; Richard, his wife Michele, and adoring grandfather to Audrey.  Loving husband of the late Susan (nee Just, 2011).  Mike was born in Transylvania.  In 1951, he came to Canada with his two brothers, the late Martin (2018) and George and his late mother Maria (1993), to join their grandfather.  The three brothers worked together for many years growing mainly tobacco, then ginseng, as well as other minor crops and ventures.  In his later years, Mike transitioned from owner/operator to consultant/encourager and was always available for advice and support.  Mike was a life time member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Simcoe and a member of the German Hall in Delhi (he was even on a bowling team).  Not too long ago, he would ride his bike and he still played cards regularly with his buddies, made regular calls to his friends and loved visiting with his granddaughter.  He will be missed!  Friends are invited to share their memories of Mike with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation of Monday, May 27th, 2024 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.  A funeral service will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 155 Colborne St. Simcoe on Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dan Abraham officiating.  Interment: Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing to donate in memory of Mike are asked to consider St. Peter’s Lutheran Church or the Norfolk General Hospital foundation.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
