Death Notices

PALMERSTON, Corporal William James “Bill” – a veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces, passed away surrounded by his loving family at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Wednesday, April 10th, 2024 in his 68th year.  Beloved companion of Anabela Neves of Simcoe.  Loving father & grandfather of Stirling Haskett (Tina Podlesky), children Chris & Ashley;  Richelle Mahoney (Billy), children Noah, Gavin & Brooklyn;  Quinn Palmerston (Gretta Veri), “expecting”; Summar Palmerston (Tyler Lynch), children Everett, Rowan & Renee; Steven Neves (Alicia), children Austin, Tykerson & “expecting”; and Andrea Neves (DJ), children William, Jesse, Miley, Damon, Tien & Zayden.  Bill will be sadly missed by his siblings Julie Palmerston (Andy Dunlop) of Port Dover, Becky Narinesingh (Colin) of Kelowna, BC, Sean Palmerston (Leanne) of Hamilton and Chris Brooks (Nancy) of Mississauga.  Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews & extended family.  Predeceased by his sister Lynette Palmerston (1957).  A private interment of ashes will be held at a later date.  The JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe in care of arrangements.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Bill are asked to consider Purrfect Companions Animal Rescue.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
