BROWN, Steven Chiming (June 17, 1946 – April 5, 2024) – born in Hong Kong, China in 1946;  passed away peacefully at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Friday, April 5th, 2024 in his 78th year.  Predeceased by his beloved wife, the late Melva Brown (nee Walsh – 2023).  Survived by his two lovely children, Josh (Adriana) of Wellesley and Sarah du Preez (Pierre Charl) of Stanford, Western Cape, South Africa. The best kids one could ever have.  Cherished grandpa of Asantewa, Madeline and Isla.  Lovingly remembered by his brothers Thomas & Roger.  He will be sadly missed by his buddies Bob Hagarty & Paul Austin.  Predeceased by his parents, the late Patrick & Hilda Brown;  a sister Winnie & brother Charles.  A brief high school teaching career was followed by different accounting jobs, finishing his career as a controller of Borg-Warner Automotive.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Steven with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Friday, April 12th, 2024 between 6:00 & 8:00 p.m. only.  A private interment will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing to donate in memory of Steven are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
