ABBEY, Wm. Ronald Glazebrook - Passed away peacefully at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Thursday, March 21st, 2024 at the age of 88.  Beloved husband of 50 years to the late Cheryle (nee Braun – 2013).  Wonderful dad of David and Lynn Abbey.  Best Papa Ever of Grace (Brodie).  Cherished older brother of Vicki Lennon (late Gary) and dear uncle to Julie, Rob, Becky, Katelyn and Amanda Lennon.  Fondly remembered by Yvon, Patricia, Jessica and Alex Lecours of Timmins.  Ron grew up in Simcoe and loved his youth at the family cottage in Normandale.  After retiring from Firestone, he and Cheryle came back to Simcoe, close to the family they loved so much.  Thanks to the whole community at Cedar Crossing for making dad’s home a happy one.  Deepest gratitude to the palliative staff of the 4th floor at NGH for kind and compassionate care.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Ron with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation of Tuesday, March 26th, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  A funeral will be held in the chapel on Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Paul Sherwood officiating.
