Raymond THOMPSON

THOMPSON, Pastor W.T. Raymond – a faithful servant of Jesus Christ, peacefully in his sleep and with Sandra, his wife, partner and friend of 50 years at his side, promoted to the loving arms of his Lord & Saviour on the morning of Monday, March 4th, 2024 in his 80th year.  “Absent from the body… present with the Lord” II Cor. 5:8.  Cherished husband of Sandra Thompson (nee Nesbitt) of Simcoe, having celebrated 50 years of marriage on September 22nd, 2023.  Loving father & grandfather of Stephen (Trisha) of Barrie, children Meghan (Mathai), Caleb, Joshua & Andrew; Esther Laidlaw (late Bruce) of Markdale, children Chloe, Rylynn & Elliana; and Ruth Thompson of Hamilton, and her daughter Cuiliu.  Dear brother & uncle of Dorothy Ward (Robin) of Antrim N. Ireland, children Gillian, Timothy & Alison; Valerie Cassells (Jimmie) of Glengormley N. Ireland; Ann Guy (late Hugh) of Coleraine N. Ireland, sons Andrew & Jonathan; Alaine Hern (late Paul) of Malvern England, children Ashley, Rachel, James, Charlotte, and Thomas; and Noelle McCormick (Charlie) of Trillick N. Ireland, children Wendy, Simon & Jill.  Dear brother-in-law and uncle of the late Eric Nesbitt (Eleanor) of Strabane N. Ireland, daughter Sharon; late Raymond Nesbitt (Norah) of Armagh N. Ireland, children Iain & Alison; and William Nesbitt (Jennifer) of Armagh N.
