Death Notices

PERKS, Robert Edward – passed away at the Parkview Meadows Christian Retirement Village, Townsend on Saturday, February 17th, 2024 in his 93rd year.  Predeceased by his parents, the late William & Selina Perks and by his sister Joyce Perks.  Bob will be lovingly remembered by his cousins Michael Truman (Chus) and Richard York (Janice) & families, all of England.  Bob graduated from the University of Toronto as a Chemical Engineer.  He worked in the oil industry throughout his adult life retiring from Texaco / Imperial Oil after many years of service.  Bob was a proud Rotarian and an avid sailor enjoying many hours spent on Lake Erie.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Bob with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Tuesday, February 20th, 2024 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.  A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Rick Jones officiating.
