COBER, Marion Mae (nee Misner) – surrounded by her loving family, at the Norview Lodge, Simcoe on Saturday, February 10th, 2024 in her 87th year.  Beloved wife and best friend of the late Paul Cober (2021).  Loving mother and grandmother of Kimberly (Geraldo Souza) of Brazil, their children Caique and Tarsila; and Christopher (Sheri) of Simcoe, their children Caleb and Alexandra. Loving friend and "Mom" to her extended family and friends in Brazil.  Lifelong friend to Marion Scott (nee Martin) for over 72 years.  Predeceased by her parents Oral and Joan Misner and by her sister Sheila Miller.  Marion was born and raised in Port Dover, and spent nearly all of her life in Norfolk County.  She loved working, volunteering (especially with figure skating), traveling and spending time with her family and friends.  She rarely missed one of her children's or grandchildren's games or events.  Marion spent her last two years at Norview.  She enjoyed her time there, and continued her volunteering, with incoming resident tours and various councils.  She loved each and every person she encountered there, and the tremendous care, love, dedication and patience of the entire Norview staff;  both towards her and our family was exceptional.  In keeping with Marion's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held.  As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to either Norview Lodge (Residents Programming) or a charity of one’s choice.  Donations may be mailed to the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St North, Simcoe N3Y 3R3.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
