NIGH, Marlene (nee Hall) – a faithful follower of Jesus Christ; promoted to the loving arms of her Lord & Saviour at Parkview Meadows Retirement Village, Townsend on Saturday, January 13th, 2024 in her 83rd year.  Devoted and loving wife of the late Arnold Nigh (2022).  Cherished mother & grandmother of Larry of Hamilton, Ruth Anne Engle (Phil) of Dillsburg, PA, their children Meredith, Allie & Connor;  and Karen Smith (Jason) of Simcoe, their children Abbey & Blake.  Dear sister of Alvin Hall (Barb) of Townsend, Howard Hall (Margaret) of Ireland, Marjorie Danton (Dave) of Hanover and by many nieces, nephews & extended family.  Loving sister-in-law of Norma Sherk (late Maurice) of Townsend.  Predeceased by her grandson Brendan Engle (2001), by her parents John & Marion (nee Heise) Hall and by brother-in-laws, the late David Nigh (Lynn) of Waterloo, the late Walter Nigh (Dianne) of Alberta, the late Howard Nigh (Elinor) of Jarvis, the late Wray Nigh (late Jean);  the late Melvin Nigh (Bettee) of Townsend, her husband Al and the late Robert Nigh (Debbie) of Windham Centre.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Marlene with her family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Tuesday, January 16th, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Marlene’s homegoing service will be held from Emmanuel Bible Church, 24 Churchill Circle, Simcoe on Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Andrew Bunner officiating.  Interment:  Greenwood Cemetery, Springvale 1:30 p.m.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Marlene are asked to consider the Faith Mission or Parkview Meadows Christian Retirement Village.  Heartfelt thanks to the staff of Parkview Meadows for their wonderful care & compassion during our moms stay, thank you all.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com  (519) 426-0199
