SOVEREIGN, J. Wesley – suddenly, promoted to the loving arms of his Lord & Saviour on Saturday, January 6th, 2024 in his 68th year.  Beloved husband of Brenda Sovereign (nee Bysterveld) of Port Dover.  Cherished father & grandfather of Jonathan (Amy) of Simcoe, their children Nathan, Hannah & Heidi;  Benjamin (Tammy) of Simcoe, their daughters Eliana & Lylah;  Amy Stutsman (Chester) of Brantford, their children Conner, Kinslee & Kayden;  and Joshua (Sarah) of Digby, NS, their son Justin.  Loving brother of Lynn Wheaton (late Jerry), Dawn Regier (Ron), all of Burlington and Lois Slessor (Blake) of Georgetown.  Wes will be lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews, cousins & extended family.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Wes with his family at the Emmanuel Bible Church, 24 Churchill Circle Simcoe on Thursday, January 11th, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  A home-going service will be held in the church Sanctuary on Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastors Andrew Bunner & Tom Lambshead officiating.  Private interment of ashes at a later date.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Wes are asked to consider the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Canada, formerly Reach Forth.  The JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North  Simcoe in care of arrangements.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
