Death Notices

JACKSON, A. Jean (nee Shoff) – passed away at the Delhi Long Term Care on Monday, January 1st, 2024 in her 96th year.  Beloved wife of the late Gordon Jackson (1997).  Loving mother of Winnifred Hoysa (Rick) of Cookstown, children Brian (Cathy) & Vicki Hoysa (Santo Bellantoni);  the late David Jackson (2010), his wife the late Barbara (2007);  the late Douglas Jackson (1958);  and Barb Wardell (Alvie Monteith) of Otterville, children Maegen Struyk (Tyler), Colin (Sarah), Allison Nap (Les), the late Sam Monteith (2023) and Alex Monteith (Janelle).  Proud great grandmother to all her great grandchildren.  Sadly missed by her sister Liz Barath (late Joe) of Simcoe.  Lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews & extended family.  Predeceased by her brother, the late Ernest Shoff; his wife Evelyn of Simcoe and by her sister, the late Ann Souilliere (late Doug).  Friends are invited to share their memories of Jean with her family at Woodhouse United Church, 2154 Hwy#24 South Simcoe for visitation on Friday, January 5th, 2024 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.  A funeral service will follow in the sanctuary at 11:00 a.m. with LLWL Heather King officiating.  Private family interment:  Christ Church Anglican Cemetery, Nanticoke.  The JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe in care of arrangements.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Jean are asked to consider Woodhouse United Church or the Kidney Foundation.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
