HOOPER, Marvyn Frederick – formerly of Simcoe, passed away at Hardy Terrace LTC, Mt. Pleasant on Friday, October 27th, 2023 in his 98th year.  Beloved husband of Ruth Hooper (nee Wise) of Mt. Pleasant.  Loving father of Jim Hooper (Margaret) of St. Thomas and John Hooper (Deborah Rayner) of LaSalette.  Cherished grandfather & great grandfather of Sandra Francouer (Steven), their daughter Jamie;  Tyler (Jessica), children Charlee & Henry;  Chase (Gabby), children Dax & Mason;  Daniel (Lisa), children Brady, Nicholas & Sydney; David (Amanda), son Austin;  Melissa Djurdjevic (Slaven), children Lucas & Benny;  Cory Rayner (Heather), children Hensley, Hudson & Scarlett;  and Kailee Mabee (Josh), daughter Miller.  Predeceased by his parents Frederick & Violet (nee Norris) Hooper and by sisters Helen McKinna & Edith Bishop.  A celebration of Marvyn’s life will be held at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe on Saturday, December 16th, 2023 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.  Private interment of ashes:  Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe at a later date.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Marvyn are asked to consider the Salvation Army.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
