ZIEGLER, Michael “Mike” Carl - surrounded by his loving family at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Sunday, October 1st, 2023 in his 77th year.  Beloved husband of Judy Ziegler (nee Lackner) of Windham Centre.  Loving father of Alison Bahry (David), daughter Zoey & the late Abby; Heather Ziegler, children Jahmal, Mcollie, Ophelia & Gabe, all of Delhi.  Michael will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Katharine Cummings (Bill), Mary Petrik (John), Barbara Doig (Vaughn), all of Moorefield and Russell Ziegler of Grande Prairie, AB.  Predeceased by his brother George Ziegler.  Dear brother-in-law to Sharon Ziegler of Kitchener.  Mike will be sadly missed by Judy’s sister Sandra Fletcher (Paul) of Elmira.  Predeceased by Judy’s brother, the late Dennis Lackner (2012), and his wife Marilyn of Waterloo.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Mike with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Wednesday, October 4th, 2023 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.  A funeral service will be held from St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 155 Colborne St. North  Simcoe on Thursday morning at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Dan Abraham officiating.  Cremation will follow with a private interment at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing to donate in memory of Michael are asked to consider St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, the Norfolk General Hospital or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
