REID, Calvin Roy – passed away peacefully at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 in his 95th year.  Loving father of Eileen Reid of Orangeville and the late Dennis Reid.  Cherished grandfather of Adam, his daughter Kiara;  and Jesica.  Dear brother of Barry Reid (Doreen) of Tisdale, SK.  Lovingly remembered by his girlfriend Lois Wilson of Eden.  Predeceased by his wife Louise, siblings Audrey Headman, Bonnie Zimmerman and Stewart Reid.  Calvin was a long-time member of the Norfolk Masonic Lodge, No10 in Simcoe.  Calvin led a dedicated team of area masons providing volunteer maintenance services for Camp Trillium Rainbow Lake for more than 10 years.  Calvin was also a member of Norfolk Shrine Club again supporting children in need.  Calvin could often be found in his wood working shop creating intricate intarsia and other beautiful wood art which he then donated regularly to other charities he supported.  A private interment of ashes will be held at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North, Simcoe.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing to donate in memory of Calvin are asked to consider a charity of one’s choice.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
