ELLIS, Robert Paul – it’s with deep sadness and regret that we announce the sudden passing of Rob at his home on Wednesday, September 13th, 2023 in his 59th year.  Cherished son of Joe & Pauline Ellis of Simcoe.  Loving father of Josh Ellis of Vancouver and Jesse Carmichael of Wroxeter.  Dear brother & uncle to Reg Ellis (Jackie Hall) of Simcoe, children Aisley, Charlie & Taylor.  Predeceased by his sister Donna Benwell.  Rob was receiving treatment to help fight his mental health crisis; sadly he couldn’t get ahead of it.  A private interment of ashes will be held in P.E.I. at a later date.  A celebration of life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 79 Simcoe on Saturday, September 30th, 2023 between 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  Arrangements entrusted to the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North, Simcoe.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing to donate in memory of Rob are asked to consider the Simcoe Fire Fighters Association.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
