CROSBIE, Robert John – It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Robert “Bing” Crosbie, of Simcoe, Ontario, on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at the age of 66, surrounded by his loving family.  He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife Bev of 39 years and his children Katelyn (Matt), David (Kaila) and Michael (Ashley).  His grandchildren, Hannah, Lucas and Carter adored their Papa and will greatly miss his papa bear hugs.  He was the beloved son of the late Jack and Joyce Crosbie of Smith Falls and loving brother of Margaret, Marilyn and William.  Bing will be sadly missed by Bev’s family, her mother Ruth Rae (late Alan) and brother Brian Rae.  Lovingly remembered by many extended family and friends.  Bing was a kind, supportive and devoted husband and father.  He was a pillar of quiet strength.  He earned his Civil Engineering degree at Queens University in 1981 and worked as a Project Manager with Ontario Power Generation for 34 years.  His passions were photography, music, cooking and travelling the world.  His greatest joy was spending time with his family and being near the water. A celebration of life will be held at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk Street North, Simcoe on Friday, August 25th, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.  Personal reflections will be shared at 3:00 p.m.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Robert are asked to consider the Canadian Blood Services or Juravinski Hospital.  A special thanks to all of the nurses and medical staff at Juravinski who always greeted Robert with a smile and provided compassionate care throughout his hard-fought journey with AML.
