BODNAR, Bertalan Sr. – passed away at the Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll on Wednesday, August 9th, 2023 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Helen (nee Proper) Bodnar (2019).  Loving father of Bert Bodnar Jr. (Christine) of Springhill, Nova Scotia. Cherished grandfather & great grandfather of Patrick (Kathryn), son Matthew;  Michael (Bethany); and Sophie.  Bert is survived by his siblings Louisa, Joan, Margaret, Martin & Bill, all of Hungary.  Lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews & extended family.  A private interment of ashes will be held at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North, Simcoe.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing to donate in memory of Bert are asked to consider Secord Trails Nursing Home, Ingersoll.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
