DURHAM, Jackie Dale “Jack” – at his residence, surrounded by his loving wife on Thursday, July 27th, 2023 in his 76th year.  Beloved husband of Janet Hill.  Dear father of Brian Durham and Dana “Matt” Durham, both of Michigan.  Dear grandfather of Gweneth Durham.  Also survived by a brother Larry Durham of Newnan, Georgia.  Special thank you to brother-in-law Jim Hill (Sandy) for their love and support.  Predeceased by brothers-in-law, Marvin Hill (Marlene) and Gary Hill.  Lovingly remembered by sister-in-law Helen Hill, and nieces and nephews.  Special thanks to Karen Schweyer for her loving care and kindness.  Jack was a member of the Iron Worker’s Local 340 Union of Battle Creek, Michigan.  A private interment of ashes will be held at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North, Simcoe.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Jack are asked to consider a charity of one’s choice.  In honour of Jack’s love for baseball:  “Lord protect him and guide him as his hand meets the ball.  I pray it travels hard and fast till it meets the catcher’s glove.  May his skill be respected by the hush of the crowd above.”  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
