VAN DRIEL, Henry Johan - On Friday June 16th, 2023 passed away peacefully in his 93rd year.  He was a charismatic man with many stories to tell.  Henry was born on November 8, 1930 in Blieswyk, Holland.  He leaves behind 4 daughters, Yolanda, Trish (Colin), Sylvia (Maurice), and Frederika, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren.  He is survived by brothers Arie (Ingrid), Cornelius (Coby), and sister Nellie.  Henry “Hank” could and would, strike up a conversation with anyone, always asking where they were from and had a genuine interest in their stories.  He was a very much loved man and will be greatly missed.  He has gone to his heavenly home. Rest In Peace Dad.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Henry with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Tuesday, June 20th, 2023 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.  A private interment will be held Wednesday at Port Dover Cemetery.  A celebration of Henry’s life will be announced at a later date.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Henry are asked to consider the Salvation Army.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
