RUTLEDGE, Donald Francis - Detective Sergeant #255(Ret.) Metropolitan Toronto Police Services, surrounded by his loving family, at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Monday, June 12th, 2023 in his 87th year.  Dearly beloved husband of Jeannie (nee O’Hara) of Simcoe. Loving father of Robert Rutledge and Sandra (Grant Jones) of Lakeshore and dear Pop to Johnathan Werynski (Michele Comeau) of Simcoe. Cherished Grampa to Danny, Bobby (Christina), Geoff (Rachel), Josh (Sumer), Kim (Eric), Madi (Logan) and Jesse.  Proud great Grampa to Lilah, Alex, Leo, Jax, Mya, Owen and Elle.  Lovingly remembered by Judy Beatty, Monique, Jamie, Lori & countless friends and so many others he touched over the course of his life.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Don with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Saturday, June 17th, 2023 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.  A funeral service will be held in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. with LPM Erna Greenfield officiating.  Cremation will follow.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Don are asked to consider the MS Society.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
