Death Notices

BAKER, G. Joanne (nee Smet) - surrounded by her loving family at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Tuesday, June 6th, 2023 in her 96th year.  Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Baker (1973).  Predeceased by her children Debbie Millen (1985), Larry Baker (2013) and by her sister Jackie Thorne (2014).  Sadly missed by her brother-in-law Bob Thorne of Simcoe.  Joanne will be lovingly remembered by her extended family.  A private family graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe.  Arrangements entrusted to the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North, Simcoe.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing to donate in memory of Joanne are asked to consider the Heart & Stroke Foundation.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
