GREC, Anne - with her ‘Girls’ by her side, Anne slipped from this world and joined her loving parents in heaven.  Cetka, you are free now.  Anne was born in Benkovce, Czechoslovakia on January 7th, 1929 to Zuzanna and Josef Grec.  Anne’s family came to Canada in 1937, where she lived with her parents in New Toronto, surrounded by extended family and many other immigrant families from Slovakia.  Anne was an accomplished violinist and later in her life she gave her violin to a young cousin who rosined the bow and made her own music.  Anne’s family moved to Simcoe, Ontario in the late 1940’s where they made a good life and made Simcoe their home.  In 1956, Anne opened and was the proprietor of the “Shar-Main Beauty Salon”, which she ran for many years.  During Anne’s life she made many good friends who she cherished.  When Anne’s health changed in later years, she moved to the Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home; the care she received there was the best.  We would like to thank all the staff at the Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home, including nurses, doctors, PSW’s, food servers, care takers for all they have done for our Anne, we could not have asked for better care.  We would like to thank Winnifred and Bob Duckworth who have been loyal friends to Anne.  Our Sweet Cetka can now fly with the angels.  Friend are invited to share their memories of Anne with her family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Saturday, March 25th, 2023 from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.  A funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. from St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 211 Union St. Simcoe.  Interment:  St. Mary’s Cemetery.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Anne are asked to consider the Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home Building Fund.  “We love you a thousand times”  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
