BORGES, Maria Josefina Rodrigues (nee Guimaraes) – surrounded by her loving family at the Cedarwood Village Nursing Home, Simcoe on Wednesday, March 8th, 2023 in her 82nd year.  Beloved wife of the late Antonio Borges (2013).  Loving mother & grandmother of Mercedes Keresturi (Joseph) of Scotland, children Sarah (Chris), Daniel (Kailey) & Amiah (Dylan);  Tony Borges (Liria) of Simcoe, children Rafael & Isaac;  and Nancy Leal (Tony) of Brampton, children Jakob, Zackary & Olivia.  Cherished great grandmother of Jackson, Gracie & Audrey.  Maria will be sadly missed by her brothers Edmundo Guimaraes (Margarida) of Simcoe and Phil Guimaraes (late Sigrid – 2014) of London.  Maria will be lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews & extended family.  Predeceased by her brother Gil Guimaraes (2008), his wife Teresa (2020).  Friends are invited to share their memories of Maria with her family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Monday, March 13th, 2023 from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.  Parish prayers will be shared Monday evening at 7:30 p.m.  A funeral mass will be held from St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, corner of Queen St. & Union St., Simcoe on Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
