SHAY, D. Elaine “Tiny” (nee Thompson) – peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe.  Elaine was promoted to the arms of her Lord & Saviour on Monday, February 13th, 2023 in her 82nd year.  Cherished wife of Keith Shay of Simcoe.  Loving mother & grandmother of Neil Shay (Kim) of Simcoe, their children Virginia (Max), Patrick (Karlee) & Garrett (Rochelle);  Kyle Shay (Charlene) of Simcoe, their son Keegan (Ashley); and predeceased by an infant son Timothy (1965).  Elaine will be lovingly remembered by her brother Alvey Thompson (Betty) of Dutton.  Predeceased by her parents Bill & Dorothy Thompson and by siblings Marion Ludwig, Pauline Smith, Doris Gogo, Gord & Don Thompson.  Elaine will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews & extended family.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Elaine with her family at Emmanuel Bible Church, 24 Churchill Circle Simcoe for visitation on Friday, February 17th, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.  Elaine’s homegoing service will be held in the church sanctuary on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Chris Emery officiating.  Interment:  Greenwood Cemetery, Waterford, Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.  The JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe in care of arrangements.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Elaine are asked to consider Emmanuel Bible Church or the Norfolk General Hospital Foundation.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
