Barry MILLIGAN

MILLIGAN, Barry Wayne - passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Monday, January 30th, 2023 in his 83rd year.  Barry is predeceased by his parents Winnifred & Ralph, son Barry, daughter Lisa and grandson Dylan.  Barry is survived by granddaughter Cassidy, the light of his life, wife Susan who feels blessed beyond measure for being by his side for 28 years, his brother Bill (Margaret), sister Joanne, and many nieces and nephews.  Barry spent 25 years at the Cyanamid in Niagara Falls and Welland and 10 years as Union Chair person at Lear Seating, Oakville.  In his younger years Barry taught Sunday School and led a youth group at Morrison Church in Niagara Falls.  He also coached T-ball, played industrial hockey and baseball and boxed for years.  He was a huge baseball fan, his hero being Mickey Mantle.  Mohammed Ali was his idol.  Barry also has a great appreciation for the songs of Elvis, his favorite being “If I Could Dream”.  At 40 years old, Barry went back to school and attained 2 degrees from Brock University.  Sue & Barry travelled extensively in Mexico, a country and people for which they had a great fondness.  Barry was a man of great integrity and fairness.  He was a straight-up guy who was always just and non-judgmental.  He will be sorely missed.  “Let There Be Peace In The Valley”  Girl of Yours.  A private family interment of ashes will be held in the spring at Lakeview Cemetery, Thorold.  The JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe in care of arrangements.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com
