VISSER, G. Scott (1965-2022) - sadly but peacefully on Saturday, November 12th, 2022 Gregory Scott Visser passed away at the age of 57 with family by his side.  Beloved son of Jessie & the late George (d.2021).  Brother of Sandra Veeneman (Ron), daughter Erin; Roy, children Kyle, Tyler, Adrian, Angela & their families; Fran Dreyer (Bill), daughters Jenna & Leah;  Brian (Irene), daughter Tess;  John (Stacey), sons Austin & Nick;  Stephen (Amy), children Ivy & Cole; the late Jason (d.2008) and Brandi Lambert (Greg), children Joe, Camaron & Portia.  Also survived by many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins & friends, and especially close friend Stevee McDade.  Scott had a series of illnesses from the age of 12 but faced them with courage & a constant smile on his face - as he said “one day at a time”.  His passion for family allowed his parents to age in the family home with his help.  One of his favourite memories was to meander through the park with his nieces & nephews, feeding the geese while discussing life.  His passions were computers, cooking, history, F1 racing, golfing, the Blue Jays, Philadelphia Flyers & everything Dutch (especially the colour orange).  A celebration of Scott’s life will be held at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe on Saturday, November 26th, 2022, visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.  A memorial service will follow in the chapel at 11:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing to donate in memory of Scott are asked to consider the St. Joseph’s Healthcare or the Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton as they helped Scott tremendously over the years.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com
