LUKE, John William (1931-2022) - passed away peacefully at the Norview Lodge, Simcoe on Tuesday, November 1st, 2022 in his 92nd year.  John William Luke, beloved husband of 70 years to the love of his life, Shirley Mae (nee Watson) Luke.  John was proud of his six boys and his big family. Loving father of Earl Luke (Mary Lou), Charlie Luke (Diane), John Luke (Kim Durrant), David Luke, Robert Luke (the late Michele Crowley - 2019) and Ed Luke (Angela).  Dear Grandpa to Jennifer Krashinsky (Harry), Christie Bradacs (Dave), Brian Luke (Yasmin), Sarah Jess (Brendan), Katy Whiteside (Jeff), Michael Luke (Gabby Monkman), Matthew Luke (Brooke), Jordanna Forrest (Jarrod), Melanie Luke (Gregg James), Simon Luke (Alexandra), Nathan Clarke, and Jake Luke (Megan Gillanders). Proud Great-Grandpa of Ben and Megan Krashinsky, Emma and Evan Bradacs, Liam Luke, Mira Glaser, Kaelan and Alyssa Jess, Ava, Max, Lily and Emmy Whiteside, Marshall Monkman, Brayden and Makenna Luke, Caleb and Tucker Forrest, Seryn and Gryffin James, and predeceased by Adam Krashinsky (2008). John was a longtime employee of the American Can in Simcoe and later was the superintendent at the West Street Medical Clinic.  Friends are invited to share their memories of John with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk Street North, Simcoe, for visitation on Tuesday, November 8th, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.  A private family funeral will be held at St. John’s Anglican Church on Wednesday, November 9th.  Internment St. John’s Anglican Church cemetery.  Those wishing to donate in memory of John are asked to consider Norview Lodge (cheques payable to Norfolk County) or St. John’s Anglican Church, Simcoe.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com
