VERBOOM, Corinne (nee VanVliet) 1931-2022 – four days after her 91st birthday, peacefully went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, August 18th, 2022.  Beloved wife of the late John Verboom (2014).  Loving mother of Diana Smuck (Robert), Nancy DiCosimo (Jack), Ed Verboom (Christine), Barb Fletcher (Dave), Mary Jane Pilgrim (Jim) & Karen Shuh (Dave Davison).  Cherished grandma / oma to Mike Smuck (Eva), Tim Smuck (Jennifer), Adam Smuck (Angie), Dr. Andrea Geroux (Scott), Lt. N Stephanie Maxim, Jeff Verboom (Nadine Cole), Holly Verboom, Vanessa Zircher (Quinn), Matthew Fletcher (Nichole), Jenna Pilgrim, Lt. Jason Pilgrim and Andrew Shuh.  Proud great grandma to 13 great grandchildren.  Corinne will be sadly missed by her extended family in Canada and Holland.  Mom & dad immigrated to Canada from Holland in 1952.  Mom devoted her entire life to her family and her church.  Mom’s favourite hobbies were gardening, quilting and playing Rummikub.  Mom had the gift of hospitality and there was always room at her table for one more.  A private family funeral will be held at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. N.
