Jim PEPPER

PEPPER, James Allen “Jim” (1936-2022) – surrounded by his loving family at his home on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022 in his 86th year.  Beloved husband of 65 years to Marion Pepper (nee Pond) of Simcoe.  Loving father & grandfather of Doug Pepper (Lorie) of Cambridge, sons Daniel & Michael;  Rob Pepper (Sherry) of Port Dover, daughters Chantal (Jacob) & Courtney (Chris);  and Brad Pepper (Pawnee) of Turkey Point, children Brittany (Chris), Alex (Melissa), Sam (Neal) & Tessa (Colton).  Proud great grandfather of Jalen & Maverick.  Jim will be lovingly remembered by his brother Earland Pepper (Margaret) of Georgetown and by nieces, nephews & extended family.  Sadly missed by Marion’s brother Robert Pond (late Myrna) of Dundas. Predeceased by his sister in law Marlene Simpson (late Bill).  Jim was the proud owner of Harold Pepper and Sons Ltd., a transport and landscape supply business that he shared with his father, wife, and sons.  Jim was a charter member of the Kinsmen Club of Port Dover and an honorary member of Port Dover Minor Hockey, where he served as team manager, treasurer, and team sponsor of the Pepper Pee Wees for many years.  In his spare time, Jim enjoyed traveling with his family, boating, and had a passion for aviation. Friends are invited to share their memories of Jim with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe on Wednesday, August 10th, 2022 for visitation from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Jim’s funeral service will be held from Woodhouse United Church, 2154 Hwy 24 South Simcoe on Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. with Marion’s brother, Robert Pond officiating.  A private family interment of ashes will be held at a later date.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Jim are asked to consider the Norfolk Haldimand Community Hospice or the Woodhouse United Church.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
