POND, Barbara Jeanette (nee MacKenzie) – passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Saturday, July 16th, 2022 in her 80th year.  Beloved wife of the late James Leo Pond (2021).  Loving mother and grandmother of Darren Pond (Lori) of Cambridge, children Carter & Emileen;  and Andrew Pond (Kari) of Guelph, children Sam & Rebecca.  Barb will be lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law Delores Koslowski.  Barb will dearly missed by her circle of friends, the amazing decades they have been a part of her life.  She loved playing golf, bridge and serving luncheons;  her memory will live on.  A public graveside service will be held at the Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe - Division "D" Section G, on Tuesday August 16th, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.  A celebration of Barb’s life will follow the committal at the Norfolk Golf & Country Club between 2:00 & 4:00 p.m.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Barb are asked to consider the Norfolk General Hospital Foundation.  The JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe N3Y 3R3 in care of arrangements.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
