Death Notices

GAY, Michael Kelly – passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Wednesday, May 11th, 2022 in his 80th year.  Beloved husband of Wendy Rosemary Gay (nee Tuck) of Simcoe.  Loving father of Dave Carter (Denise) of Vanessa and Gord Carter (Heather) of Brantford and dear grandfather to Dale & Dane.  Michael will be lovingly remembered by his brothers George Gay of Coe Hill, James Gay (Marie) of Wasaga Beach and Frank Gay (Diane) of Brantford.  Michael will be sadly missed by numerous nieces, nephews & extended family.  Predeceased by his brother Harry Gay (late Betty).  Michael was a retired member of the Canadian Air Force and worked for 30 years as a City of York firefighter.  A private family committal will be held at the Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe at a later date.  The JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North, Simcoe N3Y 3R3 in care of arrangements.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Michael are asked to consider the Canadian Wildlife Federation.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
