Death Notices

PALMERSTON, Linda Marie (nee Feere) 1954-2022 - passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Monday, April 25th, 2022 in her 68th year.  Loving mother & grand mother of Stirling Haskett (Tina Podlesky), children Chris & Ashley;  Richelle Mahoney (Bill), children Noah, Gavin & Brooklyn;  Quinn Palmerston (Gretta Veri);  and Summar Palmerston (Tyler Lynch), children Everett & Renee, all of Simcoe.  Dear sister of Debbie Booker (Carl) of Delhi, Richelle Karel (John DeCarolis) of Walsh, Richard Karel (late Nancy) of Simcoe and Roy Karel (Kathy) of Simcoe.  Linda will be lovingly remembered by several nieces, nephews, extended family and by her special friend Willy Armstrong.  She will be fondly remembered by her many friends at the Army, Navy and Airforce Club.  Predeceased by her parents, the late Dolly & Richard Karel and by her sister Patty Lavoie (late Peter).  Friends are invited to share their memories of Linda with her family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe N3Y 3R3 for visitation of Monday, May 2nd, 2022 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.  A memorial service will follow in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ron Mullin officiating.  Private interment of ashes at a later date.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Linda are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
