SMOUT, Barry Francis - passed away at the Stedman Community Hospice, Brantford on Friday, April 22nd, 2022 in his 70th year.  Beloved husband of Liz Smout (nee Strople) of Simcoe.  Loving father & grandfather of Chris Smout (Karen) of Port Ryerse, children Logan & Emma;  Jeff Smout (Victoria) of Hagersville, son Jaxson;  and Justin Smout (Sarah) of Aylmer, children Carley & Shelby.  Dear brother of Trudy Cable of Waterford, Lou Ann Ranson (Steve) of London, Dale Smout and Neil Smout (Gayle), both of Simcoe.  Lovingly remembered by Liz’s brother, Paul Strople of Port Stanley and by several nieces, nephews & extended family.  Barry marched for many years with the United Alumni Drum & Bugle Corps, and recently enjoyed playing his trumpet with the Haldimand Norfolk Concert Band.  He was an avid golfer and will be sadly missed by friends at the Pine Valley Golf Club.  A private family graveside service will be held at the Port Dover Cemetery.  The JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe N3Y 3R3 in care of arrangements.  A celebration of Barry’s life will be announced at a later date.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Barry are asked to consider the Stedman Hospice or the Cancer Support & Resource Program.  Donations may be mailed to the Jason Smith Funeral Chapel.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
