HAMMOND, Jessie Lorraine (nee Empey) - passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Monday, April 18th, 2022 in her 78th year.  Beloved wife of the late Norman Hammond (1996).  Loving mother of Donna Carpenter (late David) of Delhi, Colleen Hammond (John McMann) of Simcoe, Norma Lyons of Lindsay, Anna Hammond of Simcoe, the late George Hammond (1989), Thomas Hammond (Sarah Morris) of Simcoe, Vincent Hammond of Simcoe and Sarah Hammond of Delhi.  Jessie will be sadly missed by her 20 grandchildren & 18 great grandchildren.  Lovingly remembered by her brother Cecil Empey (late Jean) of St. Thomas.  Predeceased by her grandson Craig Carpenter (1985) and by many siblings.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Jessie with her family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe N3Y 3R3 for visitation of Monday, April 25th, 2022 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.  A funeral service will follow visitation in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor John Friesen officiating.  Interment:  Evergreen Cemetery, Lynedoch.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Jessie are asked to consider the Heart & Stroke Foundation.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
