WOOD, George Edward  (1942-2022) -  passed away peacefully at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Saturday, March 26th, 2022 in his 80th year.  Beloved husband of Roxanne Wood (nee Holmes) of Townsend.  Loving father & grandfather of Lana Chisholm (Robert) of Burlington, children the late John Rory (2016) & Elizabeth;  Georgina Bate (Brian) of Bright’s Grove, children Jameson, Nelson & Sarah;  and Matthew Wood of Nanticoke.  Predeceased by his sister Catherine Lough.  George was called home to be with Jesus; we know that we will be together again.  George was a faithful and loving family man who was deeply loved.  He will be sorely missed.  George; you will be in our hearts forever.  Friends are invited to share their memories of George with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe N3Y 3R3 for visitation on Tuesday, March 29th, 2022 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.  A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Al Feere officiating.  Interment: Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe.  Those wishing to donate in memory of George are asked to consider the Lung Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
