BLUNDELL, Melvin Lawrence William – surrounded by loving family at the Brantford General Hospital on Monday, March 14th, 2022 in his 80th year.  Beloved husband to his first wife the late Dianne (nee Nicholson) Blundell (1994) and Donna (nee Cuylle) Blundell of Simcoe.  Cherished father & grandfather of Mark Blundell of Woodstock, his son Alec and Craig Blundell of London, his children Bailey & Lily.  Melvin will be lovingly remembered by Donna’s children Christine Duthie (Alan) of Simcoe, children Sophia, Fiona & Maisie;  and Jamie Ewing (Travis Bakker) of Brantford.  Mel was an accomplished pilot. He was also a member of the London Flying Club, the Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association and the Civil Air Search & Rescue Association.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Mel with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe N3Y 3R3 for visitation of Thursday, March 17th, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  (Facial coverings mandatory)  Mel’s funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday morning at 11:00 a.m.  Private spring interment:  Maitland Cemetery, Goderich.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Mel are asked to consider the Cancer Support & Resource Program (CSRP) or the Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association (CHAA).  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
